Milo's First Day

On a sunny morning, little Milo was feeling both excited and a bit nervous. It was his very first day of school, and he had never been away from his mom for so long. "Mom, will you stay with me?" Milo asked with a small voice as they walked to school.

Mom smiled warmly and squeezed his hand. "I'll be here when your day is done, and you're going to have a great time! School is full of fun things to do and new friends to meet."

At the school door, they were met by Miss Lily, who had the kindest smile Milo had ever seen. "Welcome, Milo! We're going to have a wonderful day," she said, making Milo feel a little better.

Inside the classroom, everything was bright and colorful. There were pictures on the walls, toys in the corners, and a cozy reading nook with lots of picture books. Milo's eyes grew wide with wonder.

Miss Lily showed Milo and the other children where to put their things. Then, she introduced them to a day full of singing songs, playing with blocks, and drawing with crayons. Milo was having so much fun, he almost forgot to miss his mom.

The best part of the day was when Milo made a new friend, Max. They shared toys and laughed together during playtime. Milo realized that making friends was his favorite thing about school.

When Mom came to pick him up, Milo ran to her with a big smile. "Mom, school is fun! I made a friend, and Miss Lily is so nice. Can I come back tomorrow?" he asked eagerly.

Mom hugged Milo tight. "Of course, my brave boy. I'm so proud of you for having a wonderful first day."

That night, Milo couldn't wait to tell his stuffed animals all about his day at school. He went to bed excited for all the days to come, filled with learning, playing, and making even more friends.

Milo learned that new places aren't so scary after all, especially when you have friends by your side. School became an adventure he looked forward to every day.
